Anna M. Goodwin

Anna M. Goodwin opened Goodwin Law Firm in 2011.  Since being licensed to practice law in 2005, Ms. Goodwin has practiced criminal and juvenile law in all levels of North Carolina State Trial Court.  She has extensive jury trial experience having tried offenses ranging from Misdemeanors to First-Degree Murder.  Ms. Goodwin is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in State Criminal Law and Juvenile Delinquency.

Ms. Goodwin is licensed to practice in the State Courts of North Carolina.  Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Goodwin practiced as an Assistant District Attorney in Union County for over 5 years.  During that time she prosecuted cases in District, Superior, and Juvenile Court, and was named Chief Juvenile Prosecutor in 2010.  Ms. Goodwin’s practices areas include all areas of criminal defense: DWI/DUI, traffic violations, all misdemeanors and felony violations, and Domestic Violence criminal charges; and Juvenile law, including delinquency cases and abuse/neglect/dependency cases brought by the Union County Department of Social Services.

Ms. Goodwin received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Duke University in 2002, and her law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where she graduated with honors in 2005.

Ms. Goodwin represents clients located throughout Union, Stanly, and Anson Counties.
